The brief
This project was all about creating a social space with seating for four and plenty of storage too. The room itself had a relatively small footprint, but by removing a wall and putting in patio doors we created an open-plan feel with plenty of light shining across the new island.
The Kitchen
We used the island dining area to maximise storage in other areas of the kitchen, and by opting for a solid oak top we brought some warm and luxury to the space. You may have noticed there are no wall units - this is to keep the room feeling open, and we accomplished this by simply using matching oak floating shelves and large drawers. We particularly love the touches of blush pink in the splashback and blind which help give the room depth.
