True Handleless Kitchen with Industrial Feel

Premium handleless kitchen

The brief

The clients were extending their home to create a larger kitchen-diner and add a utility room. They wanted a contemporary kitchen with a minimalist, industrial feel and chose a true-handleless design for its clean, modern aesthetic. They wanted a feature island that they could use as a central hub, and clever storage solutions to maximise cabinet capacity while maintaining a minimalistic look. A boiling tap and appliance garage were key elements to keep the work surfaces clear. For the utility room, the clients wanted a light colour palette and durable materials to maximise the compact space.

The design features two distinct door ranges: Targa Dark Steel for the back wall and Elba Concrete Anthracite for the island. This combination creates a sophisticated industrial style contrast. The Dekton Laurent worktop on the back wall pairs with the darker cabinetry to enhance the sleek, modern look, while the Dekton Trillium worktop on the island adds a unique feature to the room.

To ensure the kitchen remains functional and clutter-free, we designed clever internal storage solutions and integrated an appliance garage. The boiling tap was positioned opposite the island to maintain ease of access without disrupting the clean lines of the kitchen. The same worktop material was used to clad the walls behind the sink and around the pillar, creating a cohesive, durable, and easy-to-clean surface.

For the utility room, we designed a Push to open Nova Crystal Grey cabinet system to maintain a light, open feel. The Dekton Rem worktop and full splashback were selected for their durability and easy maintenance. We maximised space by stacking the washing machine and tumble dryer so we could still fit in a broom unit as well as a sink and tap.

We love the rich, bold look of the cabinetry and how the island seating area turned out. As planned, it encourages social interaction, making it a natural gathering point!

The Result

The finished kitchen is a perfect blend of industrial style and contemporary functionality. The built-in under-cabinet and rail lighting ensure the kitchen feels bright and welcoming, balancing out the darker cabinetry. In the utility room, the Nova Crystal Grey units and Dekton Rem worktop create a light, airy atmosphere, making the compact space feel open and functional. The stacked appliances and broom unit optimise the available space without compromising the room’s usability.
